10 Nov Award of Excellence for Research and Communication in Landscape Architecture

Elke is delighted to announce she has won the Award of Excellence for Research and Communication in Landscape Architecture at the AILA NSW (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects) Awards. Nov 2014.

The award is for the publication: Soils for Landscape Development: Selection, Specification and Validation, by Simon Leake and Elke Haege, published by CSIRO Publishing, 2014.

The citation:

“By integrating objective guidelines for assessing, specifying and constructing soil root volumes for trees with soil specification the landscape architect adds significantly to the knowledge of a major pillar of the profession of landscape architecture…..

“the contribution…extends the application of theory into practice and raises the awareness of the value of landscape architecture and design”.
